Project Description
Artist Statement/Bio: Anna Owsiak is a Regional Habitat Manager with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. She has been actively involved in Idaho rangeland management for most of her career. Her artistic passion is to create animal portraits, and much of her inspiration comes from the wildlife and working livestock found on western rangelands. Inspired by the incredible beauty of western landscapes, she secretly hopes to master painting them someday too. She works in colored, ebony and pastel pencils, and oil and acrylic paints. Since it could be said that her job interferes with her ability to do art, she chooses to work in miniature sizes, (usually 9×12 inches or smaller) in order to get an artwork completed in a reasonable amount of time.
