Project Description

Artist Statement/Bio: My name is Madison McNeil. I am a second-year student at the University of Saskatchewan majoring in Animal Science. This is my second year on the University Rangeland team, and I am also a member of the Plant ID team. My experiences through the Rangeland team have allowed me to expand my knowledge and interact with many admirable professionals in the agriculture industry. I grew up on a commercial beef cattle operation with my family involved in a Holistic Management group. I have participated in Holistic group tours involving introducing rotational grazing techniques, along with integrating diversity into crop rotations to maximize soil productivity and ecological benefits. I love animals and spending time outdoors. Besides our cattle herd, my farm includes two dogs, numerous cats, and 30 laying hens. My family is highly involved in sports including softball, volleyball, basketball, track and field, and cross country. I enjoy photography, music, riding my horse, and spending time with friends and family.
